Flash! Madden cancels KNBR gig, (after my post) UPDATE

John Madden was to appear on KNBR Thursday morning.

Flash: After my posting asking how KCBS, (where Madden gets six figures to talk sports,) might feel about the big guy appearing on a rival, (albeit trivial) station, suddenly, Madden's appearance was canceled.

Coincidence? Perhaps. You be the judge.

  1. I'm certain that right now Radnich is wondering why he would make it certain Madden would cancel by announcing yesterday he would appear.Kicking himself. I bet John Madden himself is thinking how dumb of KNBR to let it out so soon. Maybe he wanted to really talk to Radnich for a change, and that's why he agreed.
Radman should have waited until 9:45 to let the cat out of the bag..then it would have been too late for KCBS to do anything about it.
Heck, even I was looking forward to it.

  2. I can't believe there is ONLY one post on this. When Dibbley told Radnich it had been cancelled Radnich-stctick went into his repulsive form saying "Ah Coach Madden was coming on to sell something..."
I actually heard that Madden had cancelled on Radnich before on the Murph/Mac show....
When Dibbley told Radnich that Actor Robert Wohl was booked Radnich echo'd a grimace and lobbied for PConn's response who uttered the word skeptical....Turns out Wohl (Arlis) was really really good.
Radnich did his usual a$$ kissing with Brent Jones and later out of the blue Radnich defended Lott/Montana and Barton for their roles in the hedge fund scandal news....

Why does Radnich NEED to start half a$$ sentences and than go sideways with his grammar. He sounds like an upside-down Barbeiri with a Masters degree.

He later talked about "once doing Franks' show" never having the class to say Frank Dill.

Radnich is so odd with his references to prednizone and other perscribed drugs that make his neck sweaty and swelled up. Eeeeesh.... I wonder how the sub-20 yrs younger bride and him get along inside the home. He is such a pompous a$$-maniacal blow.

Like a Rush Limbaugh who does sports.

  3. Once again the influence of your blog is in full display. No doubt he cancelled because of pressure from KCBS once they read your post. I’m actually glad Madden did not appear with Radnich. I found it highly offensive when on 2 or 3 different occasions Radnich said Madden was appearing “to sell something”. Why say that? He always makes a point to say that whenever a big guest is going to appear on his show.
