Longtime KGO-TV/Channel 7 reporter, Joyce Shank, Dead at 66



Longtime KGO-TV reporter, Joyce Shank, has died at the age of 66. Shank suffered an apparent heart attack.

She worked at KGO in the late 70's as a General Assignment reporter and spent over fifteen years at the SF ABC o and o.

In this 1984 video, Shank is introduced by the late KGO anchor, Pete Wilson, who died in July, 2007.

  4. Three people there now gone,Joyce,Pete and Martin Wyatt. And whatever happened to Carol Ivy? she was at 7 forever,then gone-but hopefully still alive.

  8. god i miss pete wilson, especially on kgo-am. Gil Gross is borrrrrinnnngg. he always agrees with everything everyone says. pat thurston should be in that spot.

  9. Carol Ivy is alive and quite well, living in Marin County with her husband, ex-KGO reporter Ed Leslie.

  10. I had a crush on Carol when she worked at Channel 7 and years later, got to tell her that when we rode the 4:10 ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito. The fun people would occupy the rear deck with a drink or smoke or both. I wonder if she remembers me?
