KNBR enjoying a post-Giants bounce into November, (let's see what December brings)

KGO faltering badly into fifth place in the overalls, (6+)

Yeah, these are mere beauty contest numbers which have no bearing on advertisers, but ratings are ratings.

The full breakdown is here.

  1. It also has no bearing on quality since KNBR sports hosts pour out the same talk, the same jokes, the same opinions to where you stop listening as you heard it all before. And they never veer. Its what the company wants them to say all day every day. As many have noted they have that weird KNBR speak..like munchkins x with 30's gangsters x SNL "Thats right Pete!".
Damon Bruce on Siberia's 1050 actually sounds like he has a broadcasters voice, the rest at KNBR range from having lisps to sucking on helium voices.
Just what you want to hear on Radio huh?..right.

  2. I should have added-the views and conversations are so predictable on KNBR you even know what the guests and "freinds of the show" are going to say and where they stand before they even answer the question.
Original isn't allowed even as a guest.

  3. KNBR IS TO RADIO WHAT ESPN IS TO TV...THEY BOTH HAVE THEIR STABLE OF ROBOTS SPOUTING COMPANY SET TOPICS & PRODUCT ENDORSEMENTS TO PUSH ON LISTENERS & VIEWERS INCESSANTLY.THE SAD FACT IS WE BASICALLY HAVE NO REAL ALTERNATIVE TO THEIR MONOPOLY HOLD ON SPORTS PROGRAMMING.THE ONLY HOPE...IS THAT KARMA RAIN'S DOWN ON THEM BOTH LIKE A BLAKE GRIFFIN SLAM OR A JAMES HARRISON HIT!

  4. yeah well who cares what you think. They are the leader for a reason. People tune into them cuz they love the Giants, and this station is the voice of the Giants. Congratulations to them on being number one! They have fantastic announcers -- Kruk and Keip, Dave Fleming, Jon Miller. And the Murph and Mac show is hilarious. It's not hype -- it's fun.
