When I saw one of the local channels ( I think Channel 5) taking calls, I held my breath expecting a phony phone call. Now you tell me my fears came true. Bad day for KRON. With no budget, they have no helicopter. Stuck w/ a short of a flame over the hill for hours ...then the phony call. KPIX had a great copter shot, but their inital coverage was a joke. They kept saying it was a plane crash. Had many people tell them they "heard" a plane. Time after time. They kept telling us it was a plane. But after the FAA said no aircraft were missing, CBS 5 still could believe it and kept asking officials. Funny stuff Channel 5. And when Ken Basteda asked viweres to email the station...that's when I was sure KPIX had no clue.
Interns running the show?

How can a station with only four full time reporters find a clue? They're clueless...
