Evelyn Taft officially leaves KRON; headed for LA's KCAL/CBS2
As first reported here back in June, Evelyn Taft has officially left KRON and is in LA about to start predicting weather patterns for the CBS station, KCAL., much to the distress of thousands of adoring fans who enjoyed Taft so much they actually watched KRON just to watch her perform.
I'm told that management wasn't very happy that Taft escaped 1001 Van Ness, although those of you who crave the blond sensation, take note, Kristy Siefkin, is the reported favorite to assume command from the other staple of blond female weather guessers.

Nine out of ten KRON veiwers wouldn't notice if Evelyn Tafts name was placed under Kristy and vice versa. It's like the twins at Comcast, Jaime and Kate. Its not enough they look alike-they even have identical 'do's.

ReplyDeleteAs someone who worked with kristy...I hate to see her take that position, it sends the wrong message that you can just start in thr number 6 market, not pay your dues and expect people to e understanding....a little humility would go a long way...in the words of my mother..a lady know when to carry her ass....I guess Miss Siefkin's hands are too full for that...
ReplyDeleteSeeing as how Kristy is nowhere near as well endowed as Evelyn, I think a few more than 9 out of 10 will notice... Also I've seen some clips of Evelyn down in KCAL in LA, and they have her in way too much makeup. She looked much better on Kron.

ReplyDeleteI can definately say, Evelyn did a great job! I watched the weather to watch her and get informed daily of the weather! She has a great personality and KRON made a huge mistake. I no longer watch KRON. I do not know Kristy's background or how she got to KRON. She only has 1/10 the talent that Evelyn. To think you can just replace her with a poor imitation strikes me odd. I guess you take the general public for granted and do not give them much intelligence whatsoever. Too bad for KRON and good luck Evelyn!! You will be missed!!!!

It seems when a young talented talent comes on board this news crew, they end up leaving. Liza Fernandez was nice, and Evelyn was great. It was awesome when they had both do the tag team on weather. I have to assume that Darya gets a little jealous that attention is drawn away from her figure. Darya, you are attractive for a women your age, work that and own that, but don't cause waves to run out all the younger talent!!!!!
ReplyDeleteKristy worked in NY as an intern and later as a full time employee for an established non-profit organization. For the uninformed, she is an intelligent young woman of the highest calibre and I was astounded to see the vitriol posted here. This person graduated from Duke University, has a Masters Degree and is still in school continuing her education. Whoever your sources are at the station are grossly uninformed. Please make it your business to meet her one day and you will quickly realize your mistake. You DEFINITELY have the wrong person sir.
ReplyDeleteGood for Kristy, volunteering for a nonprofit in NY. So did every other undergrad on the East Coast. What's a shame is how Kristy Siefkin resorts to undermining tactics and indecent behavior to get a gig at a news channel. Maybe she should exhibit her intellect, instead of backstabbing and lying to management about coworkers in the newsroom.
ReplyDeleteKRON. You can have Evelyn Taft back. I'm in L.A. I used to watch KCBS/KCAL, but can no longer. This helium-chested ditz is on every five minutes and she manages to take up all that air time and not give a forecast.

ReplyDeletejust saw Kristy's report on the thugs from LA that beat up the SF Fan. She was smiling and referred the thugs 3x as "gentlemen". duh...don't think she's ready for serious news yet.
