KGO's Copeland points out Memorial Day foibles

KGO's Brian Copeland, (substituting for Ronn Owens) made fun of stores advertising "Memorial Day 'Sales." and lamented the fact that the holiday is nothing more than the end to a three-day weekend. (Wouldn't you know the first spot after Copeland's opening monologue was a Macy's Memorial day sales ad)

Copie should have heard Lisa Lee, a  newswoman on sister station, KSFO, offer a "'Happy Memorial Day!" to substitute host Mark Williams, (think about the absurdity of that statement, "Happy Memorial Day, although Lee isn't the only one who utters that foolish remark.)

Yeah, have a 'great Memorial Day and enjoy your BBQ at the beach. Save some ribs for me.

  1. During the Giants game the scoreboard had tribute to the troops from the most politically conservative Giants-Zito,Rowand ,Affedlt, and I forgot the rest. Despite Zito being a huge supporter of the Bush family and their revenge wars against Husseim, neither he nor the others ever even thought of enlisting like Ted Williams,or Lefty Grove.
They sort of remind me of Dave Dravecky who the Giants trot out once a year in his fight with cancer. And that's a good cause. But don't forget when he played with the Giants he was right wing, opposed all liberal rights for woman, gays, and it turned out was a real card carrying member of the John Birch Society!
So I see these players and too many members of the Giants org.,KNBR, as basically hating most of the people of the city they represent!-lol. Life.
