Bruce on KNBR 1050 blows away Fitz/Brooks 680

I'm going to come out and state the obvious: Damon Bruce on KNBR 1050 is making mincemeat of his alleged "competitors", (Fitz/Brooks) down the dial at "mothership" KNBR 680.

I have never been a Fitz/Brooks fan; one is an unabashed, smarmy and house shill for the Warriors and his partner in crime, Brooks, is one of the most disingenuous, cranky, tonsil with an axe to grind and very little savvy.

They do giggle good together, I'll give them that.

Bruce is trying hard to play down his in-house rivals; great, he has to work in the building over there.

I don't.

Where Bruce isn't afraid to be openly critical of the Giants, Warriors and 49ers, with Rudy and the angry LSU man, its always toeing the company line. They're so predictable and I feel genuine sorrow for some of their two callers who dare criticize them because that's when Rudy and the angry man go into full-throttle attack mode.

In short, Bruce is better and far more entertaining and knowledgeable. Rudy and the angry LSU man are embarrassing.

  1. YES! Fitz and Brooks are awful. Fitz is a coward for refusing to take calls regarding his anonymous postings to a GSW fan site, and Lee Hammer is a coward for not MAKING him deal with it on the air, at least to try and save KNBR's credibility. Which they lost more of when they shifted Bruce away from the time slot that follows Giant games.

And may I say that F.P. is terrible? It is not his fault, he is an amateur broadcaster that needs to work in Spokane or Reno before being handed a plum show on KNBR. And only the Giants/KNBR would add a admitted 'roid user to follow game broadcasts, this at a time when the team and MLB is trying to move past the steroid era. More excellent judgment.

Didn't KNBR fire these guys a few years ago? How about an encore!
