ABC News is closing its SF bureau. As noted here last week, Laura Marquez, who operates out of the local bureau, is on a "
review list" of correspondents that may be pink-slipped by the alphabet net.
The
LA Times reported that
David Westin, president of
ABC News, said the number of network bureau correspondents will be cut in half from several dozen. Freelance crews will sometimes be hired to cover breaking stories, he said.
