Ted Robinson is in
Vancouver covering the
Olympics for
NBC Sports.
He responded to my rant about the voluminous amount of anti-peacock-network's Olympics coverage.
Good take........many don't realize that if ESPN gets the Games, every one's cable/satellite bill will rise to pay the rights fee.Humn, haven't thought about that.

I love me some Ted. He and Matt Vasgerian are our local guys covering Speed Skating and Ski Jumping. But that argument is like the elections; "Vote for my guy because if the other guy gets in, your taxes will go up, etc."
ReplyDeleteFortunately, this isn't a two-party race.
What would happen if ABC, FOX, or CBS got the games?
Would we get live West Coast programing?
Would we get US Hockey on the main channel?
Would we have to wait until after midnight for the medal winners?
Last time I checked, the cable bill was going up anyway.
I blame the extra bump on lifts for Costa's shoes.
I'm going out tonight and have a bowl of rice and sushi; maybe a little sake too.
ReplyDeleteBetween Costas and Brian Williams, the pious chart is off the wall.
