'Chhhhanges at KTVU; multi-staff shake-up at FOX2
Staff shake-up at KTVU/FOX2
From a reliable industry source:
"Management is shaking up the reporting staff at KTVU. David Stephenson is replacing Rob Roth as SF Bureau chief. Rob has been doing that job for at least 15 years. John Sasaki will be doing more weekend shifts and Maureen Naylor will be doing more week day shifts. It's a clear demotion for Sasaki who can be a tad annoying (to management) and is an active union leader. They are also stepping up video editing training for writers and producers with rumors the editors may be on their way out. Many more changes are rumored to be on the way.”
Begs the question? AGAIN…if it ain;t broke why fix it? So the Cox family in Atlanta…one of the wealthiest in America…can have more money, at the expense of their loyal workers in the field! Unreal!

Cox Enterprises has its hands in a lot of pies but one is the newspaper biz which has just been getting hammered the last few years. Locally, they still have AUTO TRADER for their automotive adverts but in the last year or so they shut down all their AUTO MART magazines nationwide and went strictly internet with the selling. I never see it advertised like Automart.com and Cars.com so I have to think they are taking a bath on that one as well.
ReplyDeleteReally a double whammy for Cox as both newspaper advertising and the automotive industry have been hit hard in the bad economy. And, if you have auto magazines, you are doubly cursed!
