I like Ama Daetz.
And when I say I like Ama Daetz, there's more to the KGO-TV correspondent than your garden variety field reporter.
She's just back from Aurora covering the Colorado massacre. She did good reporting. Her interviews with the various town folk was not saddled with insensitivity nor faux sorrow. It was solid work.
But back to Daetz. She has amazing camera presence. I've said this before. Sacramento's loss is San Francisco's gain. I'm going to call Ms. Daetz and may even put the fedora on for lunch. I will tell her that her journalistic acumen is making it a pleasure to watch her. Consultants take note.
And I like the name too. Don't you?
