After all, the country has gone to hell in a hand basket (shocking, I know) but I will embellish --actually I'm glad Michael Zwerling, the owner of the mighty 1080 AM of Santa Cruz has been pleading for my participation because, among other things, Zwerling doesn't care about personal peccadilloes and such--he just prefers good radio and I intend to oblige him. And you, for sure, all of you justifiably irritated and mad as hell and not going to take it anymore.
God knows there's enough on the table to talk about and elicit conversation and engagement. In other words, good, old-fashioned AM terrestrial radio that has now become a homeland for stale wonder bread and artificial noise.
We are in crisis --a real cultural crisis which has rendered almost all of us into the black hole of existence. (I'm getting overly negative and goin' major philosophical here but bear with me--there's a point)-- I don't need notes and am quite capable of telling it like it is and should be. And nobody will, nor has anyone ever told me what to say and not what to say. How refreshing.
