Well, this certainly explains all of the gaffes and turmoil at KTVU. The corporate bean counters are calling the shots and that is never good. Their myopic fixation with the "bottom line" comes at a cost. Talent. Eikel is a puppet without autonomy. They will continue to languish in stagnant mediocrity and incompetence. The Firm is currently achieving some modicum of success, by incrementally destroying its own brand.
It''s already spiraling down the toilet out of control. Eikel will cause the downward spiral to spin even faster. They're already a joke laughing stock. Bringing back the very person who accelerated that demise at every step will finish them off for sure.
Why hasn't the Firm gotten rid of Dave Clark? He's absolutely terrible. His voice is always cracking and he has zero ad-libbing or conversations skills whatsoever. Whenever a co-anchor tries to engage him in any sort of conversation, all he says is 'yeah' and 'mmmhmmm.' What a joke.
