That's true about Slusser, but I guess I never cared for deep hard-hitting stories from her. I just relied on her to inform me of any player moves/transactions, and she did that well(A's days).

Great post, Rich. You nailed it. These Yentas are mean spirited and have tried and succeeded to end careers. Slusser is a fan girl who drank the green and gold Kool Aide for years and kissed up to A's GM Billy Beane. She is routinely beaten on the Giants beat by Andrew Baggerly and other writers yet tries to spin her stories to make it seem like she was on top of it from the beginning. She also had a relationship with Giants manager Bob Melvin's daughter, yet the Chronicle continues to allow her to cover the team. These are dangerous women who bully others and have no empathy for anyone.
