A brilliant, brilliant broadcaster. He was conservative but could have a discussion with a liberal or progressive that would be respectful and as a listener you would learn something. Godspeed and peace to the family.
Jim was one of the first talk show hosts started listening to. I think it was him that didn’t appreciate Ronn, I think it was Jim that got in a battle with Ronn over 810. The old tag line KGO where it’s always 81 Jim liked but Ronn wanted up dated to 810 to reflect the new digital clocks. Didn’t he refer to Ronn as the squirrel because he thought he was a bit nuts?
Jim was the reason why I started listening to KGO radio back in the day. Looked forward to his opening monologue and show every afternoon at 1:05 PM. RIP Jim.
He was a wonderful radio friend to me. As we hear about the upcoming release of JFK, I will always credit Mr. Eason, with my fascination with what other secrets the government is hiding. I am your age and heard him daily in my mom's kitchen. Rest in peace.
