When are they going to buy out Mike Mibach expensive contract and boost him out, ratings down each day no female anchor, time to do a new makeover KTVU?? Gasia deserve the spot.
is KTVU going to by the weather from Atlanta like so many other stations are doing? Dump the weather 'talent' costs and buy it from Byron Allen's company.
Weird thing is, he is old enough to know better. Didn't refer to it back in his KFTY days in Santa Rosa? Why? The name didn't exist. "Karl' is a Twitter critter created much later. Doof!
He was affable and seemed to know what he was talking about, but he always seemed distracted with something when he would present the weather. Anyway, a happy retirement to him!
Something's off regarding his posted 1993 start date on the KTVU website. I remember Bill was at KPIX in late-January of 1995 when I was a freelance news writer there for several months at the beginning of that year. I remember him feeding back stuff from a Love Boat cruise--and I was the writer in charge of writing his leads and handing scripts to editors to fill in some black spots.
My vote to replace Martin goes to eternally youthful Mark Tamayo (the Dick Clark of weather). The guy looks like he’s been 28 years old for 30 years. Anyway, why is constipation man still there? I just gave up watching KTVU because of that putz.

ReplyDeleteI was with you until you said, "Gasia deserves the spot."
DeleteBill is much like Gary Radnich when he was close to retirement - just a bunch of mumbling and off topic content.

DeleteThe job should go to Mark Tamyo and HH should replace JH!! KTVU will hire Roberta
ReplyDeleteHis Cat's cool.
ReplyDeleteHis cat is dead. Died a couple years ago.
DeleteIsn't he married? If so, his wife must love that his goal in retirement is to spend time with his dog.

ReplyDeleteHe went to CAL and surfs. 2 + from my standpoint. And for those who says he mumbles, he does not, you simply are paying attention

ReplyDeleteUm, I was at KPIX in 1995 too...and Bill Martin was at KTVU. Your memory is faulty.
