Is Mike Mibach worse than Dennis Richmond to work with? Dennis kick off 2 anchors, Leslie and the other lady but got along with Julie. Mike Mibach, looks like he worked with so many female anchors and still KTVU cannot find the right one. How come???
Because Mike Mibach is a strange man. A very strange man. Those who have actually worked with him all know it. Now, after months of rotating female anchors with none able to last more than a few days at his side, the entire viewing public has seen it first hand.
Mibach was never the “right one” for the male (if required) position but obviously KTVU doubled down on keeping him as the “face of the station” anchor and let it be. You seem to put the onus on KTVU finding the right female for him to gel with. He can’t gel with the viewing audience to begin with for himself. Seems like Betty Yu got the job as his female counterpart but I no longer regularly watch that dreck of a station. Weather forecasts which should be straight forward are bizarre in presentation and delivery (e.g. dramatic enunciation tones) for 2 weather anchors there. Sports from non-sports anchors is cringeworthy too. What a shit show with a side of “Like it or Not” to get to know the personal side of KTVU staff.
Call me crazy, but I think Mibach isn’t just great—he’s transcendent. Truly in a league of his own, his anchoring isn’t just top-notch; it’s the gold standard by which all journalism should be measured. Every word he speaks is like a shining beacon of truth piercing through the chaos, leaving viewers in awe. Honestly, future journalists shouldn’t just study his broadcasts—they should build entire college courses around his mastery. Mike isn’t just an anchor; he’s a living legend, the blueprint for integrity, brilliance, and excellence. If there were a Mount Rushmore of journalism, Mike’s face would be the only one on it. Forget naming awards after him—they should rename the entire profession in his honor.
Nobody at KTVU is so awful that it would cause me to change the channel. Sure, there are some quirks with some of the on-air personalities, but I can live with it.

WORK remains a 4 letter word. “I am here 8+ hours a day and you want me to actually Work?” Nobody said the 8 hour grind would be pleasant, let alone fun - unless you love your job, few do. Morale at KTVU is low? Who cares? Join the rest of us in our thankless dead end jobs. It is called life.
last night they reported on the battery fire and mentioned that it may be emitting toxic smoke and fumes. Then they threw to the reporter in the vicinity, the ever frosty LaMonica Peters. There she was with her bedazzled cloth mask on. Does she think her Amazon fashion mask will do ANYTHING for toxic fumes/smoke? Covid broke brains.
