Not wanting to listen to the endless repeats on KCBS, I turned on the morning show on KNBR. It wasn't like you say, it was worse. The yelling, the screaming, the nonsense. Is anybody in charge who can tame these two?
Hey Rich and Your Viewers... Is there a San Francisco Bay Area AM/FM Station still worth listening to such as news, music or talk? Thanks for your help.
Geez Rich seems like you hate Bay Area media. Not surprising. 95% of the bay area did read a book last year. Let that sink in. KQED is the number 1 best funded station - radio & TV - in the USA. We have something like 65 billionaires in the bay area - who is funding the arts? The music scene, the visual arts, painting, films, dance? I see no evidence that they contribute in any manner Marin County has always been a bastion of “La-La-Land” thinking. It isn’t Oakland or Richmond or Hayward. They have not ONE Native American Casino. Oakland is a failed city: businesses are pulling out, killings/shootings are rampant. Nobody wants to work anymore - just steal some shit and get instant ca$h.
And yet the drug problems and the homeless problems and the price of food will be solved overnight by a billionaire buddy in DC.
Get real. Better days a long gone. No return to the good ol’ days.
I did listen to while I was grooming my rabbit. I grew up with Herb Caen, Tails of the City, Gleen Dicky and News Seen. I agree with you on the changes. I have moved off long ago from the local media. I read the californiaglobe.com true news reports about Calif. There are also several online sites for both sports, news and weather. KNBR is just nose is the morning during breakfast. One thing about the 49ers being out of it is that I don't have to listen to Greg.
