Do you seriously think that this terrorist required outside support to pull off what he did, or that he was part of a larger organization? He was an American-born citizen who rented a truck through a car rental app, travelled a couple hours and drove it at high speed through a crowd of people. Yes, it’s evil, but it didn’t require any outside support or infrastructure. The terrifying truth is that anyone with a twisted mindset and the will to do harm can pull this off with minimal effort. The real danger is that this attack could inspire copycats, especially now that it's clear just how easy it can be for a disturbed individual to carry out such an act. It only takes a warped mind and the determination to do evil.
