One suspects there was a “quid pro quo” involved here. Like “go ahead and smoke Lund, but hire my nitwit kid”. In the past, honorable friends said “If you don’t like my co-worker, I’ll take a pay cut so we can both stay working!” or the better FY, “if Paul McCaffrey isn’t good enough for you, lay us both off!” PLEASE NOTE how easily the co-workers moved on from their “partners”. These guys will blow the boss to keep a steady paycheck. And yes, I am pointing at you Murphy, Papa, Copes. Not sure how you bastards can still look in the mirror and not see a spineless asshole.
Agree with you. Except Copes is younger, probably making a lot less, and TT is probably well set from his NBA days and 28 years. Couldn't any or all the high-priced guys offer to take pay cuts to keep their jobs?
Why does 2:29 believe Murphy, Poppa, and Lund get to approve the dismissal of their partners anymore than any employee anywhere approve personnel moves by management?

We are seeing the slow erosion back to mediocrity. Teams have a few years to peak - like the Chiefs are right now. Niners will be mid-pack for at least the next 5 years. I find glee in knowing the Cowboys will suck for a decade.

He was a second string DJ in Sacramento for crying out loud. I heard he was making a ridiculous Six figure salary do for once I understand why they cut guys this hack to save $$$. The brilliant Lee Hammer must’ve been the guy who hired him. Hammer made some head scratching moves to keep his corporate bosses in Atlanta happy.,” Now Hammer is gone too. I’m sure he feels the way.
