I listen to both KNBR and KSFO on the way to work while stuck in the morning commute traffic in the South Bay. I did hear that they will move to 810. I drove to work and 810 was better on hearing them. What will happen to AM 680? Ray from Sunnyvale.
Oh my, Heather Holmes' blouse looked like the QR code at the lower left side of the screen on Monday on the 10 PM newscast, need to consult Rosemary on fashion?
Both Rosemary and Heather have an uptight look. Both are attractive but they look like they’d never be happy. They are well suited for where they are and what they are doing.
As often happens, a big corporation eats a loser, writes off the losses (at OUR expense) then sells the carcass to the lard makers. Once the writeoffs are timed out - 3 years? 5 years? - the big prosperous corp sells off the remains. Easy to see what’s coming down the road. Even a rudimentary knowledge of business tactics can predict the next 3 moves. Thankfully, we have frustrated thespian Alex Madrigal sighing over on 88.5. I miss Michael Krasny. He was thousands of times better than the aforementioned lousy thespian.
I hear people weeping crocodile tears for “ poor Tom Tolbert for getting fired after 28 years at KNBR..please! Let’s get real here. Tolbert was coasting, mailing it in and has been for well over ten years since his radio partner Ralph Barbieri was booted off KNBR. Tolbert was making more $$ than any broadcaster in KNBR history and all he did was make stupid, frat boy jokes or talk about all the beer he consumed. How about shedding some tears for all of the hundreds of people at KNBR, KGO and the other stations that cumulus has destroyed, sweeping away people like yesterday’s garbage. Do you know how many on-air and behind the scenes folks Cumulus has fired since their smelly, fat asses entered the bay area? From day one, they immediately started swinging their swords to “Eliminate” or “downsize” positions, some of which have been embarrassingly been filled by Uber drivers and 23 year olds who don’t know Jack and belong in Ukiah, or Manteca or Bakersfield radio. Cumulus? , what a sad joke of a company.,
@12:17am WELL PUT. Tolbert helped in the demise of KNBR. A no talent jock with little to celebrate other than his connections. He got paid way too much for his puny contribution. Glad he is gone. I hope they eviserate Murphy next.
Agreed! Cumulus is a cancerous tumor that has metastasized and idiotic “ market manager” Larry Bkumhsgen has the nerve to tell the bay area that his company has been a rousing success? I wonder what other verbal puke he’s going to put out there after his weaselly corporate bosses back in Atlanta threaten to fire him if he doesn’t do their dirty work. How does this guy sleep at night?
