Hey, KNBR's Greg Papa, What the Hell Are You Talking About?

9 comments:

  1. Papa isn't the first on air personality to dump the gravy boat of hyperbole during a monologue in excess. Over exposure lends to eventually becoming stale and unimaginative. Thus, the end result is becoming a caricature of your former self.

  2. Could not agree more Rich !!
Papa uses these stupid football insider terms all the time. Total gibberish. He must get paid by the word - he is a babbling idiot. Repetitive beyond reason, he might as well be talking in tongues at the Church of the Flyin’ Pigskin.
I say we trade him to Dallas for the talk show guys who pissed off Jerry Jones, at least they have some sacks.

  3. Maybe some extra excitement from him since he's going to the World Series.

  4. Papa said today that he and Matt Maiocco probably know more about the 49ers than anybody, and he also thinks Al Davis is his second father. I don't remember Al Davis leaving his son Greg anything. Greg and Lund basically read sports off the internet/teleprompter.

  5. You can always tell when Shanahan has taught Papa a new football word. He then inserts it into every play whether is applies or not.

  6. Thank goodness Papa can be avoided all together no Warriors or Giants PXP radio or tv.

  7. How many actually listen to the radio broadcasts of him or any sport in general? The San Jose Sharks have not had an over the air station in a couple of years.

    1. I would say some old school folks still listen to over the air radio broadcasts. In the garage, in the car, etc. Some listen streaming via their phone or smart speaker (Alexa, Google, etc.) SJ Sharks are streaming only.

    2. Shows the popularity of the team no interest in bay area radio, but stations in outlying smaller areas.
