Radio Charade: KNBR Hires Another Retread, Larry Krueger; The Real Story Minus BS

  1. Krueger’s Triumphant Return to KNBR sounds like the set up to a joke.
Perhaps 3rd Time is a charm?
We all know that these are the last days of Murphy, Tolbert, Papa, Lund, Copes. What KNBR is doing is preemptively hiring the cheap fillers for Giants and Niners pre and post. That way Murph, Tolbeer, Lund, Copes will not try to wiggle back into the fold.
Papa already has Niner air time so he does not need the ca$h.
Let’s go further, all these guys want Press pass access to the lavish buffets. I heard Murph feeds his little league team with whatever he can purloin from the Niner spread.

    Soon Gone - SOON FORGOTTEN

    1. Rod fills in now as a guest host. He was there as recently as a week or so ago.

    1. Apparently you rarely listened to his show, he was a big whiner and a Notre Dame Homer. That Stanford regularly ruined ND’s season, was often lost on little Bob.
I hope the Warriors cut him loose, he’s weak on his best days. Jim Barnett was 100’s of times better.

  5. I enjoy listening to Larry Krueger. He's very knowledgeable, he stays focused on sports and he is consistent in his praise and criticism of our local athletes and teams. When it comes to KNBR, I can't stand listening to Brian Copeland and Tom "It's time to go" Tolbert. I'd much prefer they go to national shows.

    1. Uhh... I think you mean Adam "Dopey Copes" Copeland. Brian is his father and helped him get his position at KNBR. Nepotism at it's finest.

  6. Krueger is a competent and knowledgeable broadcaster who will be a real asset to the Niners broadcast. Good for him for being able to push his YouTube work. You should get smarter and figure out how to promote yourself via broadcast.

  9. When is KNBR going to 86 all of their "talent" and go with picking up a national network feed? It can't come soon enough.

  11. Greg Papa...Should they trade Aiyuk, keep him, fine him or franchise him...I don't know. Thanks Greg! All day long on Brandon Aiyuk and Papa says this is the biggest sports story in the country right now.

  12. Give St. John on KMVQ a talk show. He's got 87 years in the business! He can do a long form stinging monologue and find a way to wrap it up with "99.7 NOWWWW!!!!" Worth a try....

  14. Lately I have heard a lot of “new” voices in every time slot on KNBR. Are they fishing for new talent or is it summer vacation time? The interns seem to have vanished. Maybe it was just “take your moronic kid to work” week?
The Summer Olympics are happening with thousands of great stories and KNBR is still yapping - endlessly - about Aiyuk’s contract impasse. These idiots are not into sports, they are into the sounds of their own voices. Pathetic !!

  15. KNBR used to be KPO, back when Rich was a twinkle in his milkman's eyes.
