You should have heard the banter between Lund and Papa and their summer intern sons last Friday. Sons it seems were playing “Madden” fake sports competition with their selected players that somehow spits up certain results. Why does that make believe nonsense appeal to people? Unbelievable and stupid back and forth, childish dialogue. The apples do not fall far from the trees.
A good earner makes $4,000,000 in a lifetime. I agree that discussions of whether Klay "deserves" $20,000,000 or $25,000,000 per year make me turn off the radio.
"Why does that make believe nonsense appeal to people?'' Ask Mark Pincus. Zynga. Ex: Farmville. Pay real cash to feed your virtual cows. Like P.T. Barnum allegedly said; "There's a sucker born every minute". Why not profit off of the morons?
@5:44, $4M sounds like a surprising amount of money, but I asked ChatGPT "what does an average US worker earn in a lifetime?" The answer was $4.3M based on the following: a) 43 years worked b) $55K average annual salary c) 3% annual increase.
@5:44 am $4 million?? I worked 40+ years and I doubt I grossed $2 million. BUT you are correct, hearing these jaw jackers “discuss” ‘$20 million or $25 million for a .214 avg hitter (as an example) makes me want to puke. Might as well be talking about hog futures at the Chicago board of exchange. Pure dreck and time wasting babbling. KNBR excels at this crap. Like you, I change the channel immediately.
“Will player “X” get 40 or 45 million next year?”
ReplyDelete“should the Giants re-sign player “Z”?
Such mind altering banter !! These clowns make Depends commercials look interesting !!
If you want permanent brain damage, listen to KNBR for a week. The “hosts” are as cultured as rotten, spoiled, cheese curd.

DeleteDr. Ruth was a pioneer. She taught me a lot about sex as an adolescent.
ReplyDelete@4:37pm We enjoyed when you wrote about your first sexual experience: “it was dark, I was nervous, I was alone.” I hope your grip has gotten better.
Delete@8:09 let's face it, everyone who listened to her show experimented with everything she taught us.
Delete@ v8:09 Don't forget to milk the balls! Lol!
Delete@ 5:45 Hahahahahaha! Good one! Hahahahaha!
DeleteI used to think that the KNBR morning show was unlistenable because of Paul McCaffrey.
ReplyDeleteWell he’s gone and the show is just as bad.
@9pm. Thank you for making the point - Murphy is abhorrent. When KNBR finally shows him the door, morning show ratings will go up.
Delete@6:03. I don’t know if it’s the smugness or the lack of sincerity, but it really comes through and is annoying.
DeleteDoes Liz St. John live at KCBS studios? ALWAYS on air. And gets giddy about those "warm ups" coming.
ReplyDeleteLiz St. John is married to 99.7 NOW's St. John, and therefore is at least 116 years old.
ReplyDeleteFact check - NOT true. Liz is merely trying to live off the 116-year *reputation* of 99.7's teen jock St. John by claiming his surname.
DeleteLet's spend a few days tearing apart 1310 KMKY. Oh wait, they're off the air. Never mind.
