  1. "Castaneda Contract at KTVU Isn't a Done Deal." And we're supposed to give a shit?

  2. Speaking of KTVU, Mike Mibach has been off the air since last week. Alex Savidge, who has been anchoring with Julie Haener, has not been saying the usual “I’m Alex in tonight for Mike.” It looks like they’re doing a trial run for the future/desire state where Mibach is shipped back to Siberia and Savidge anchors the prime time show with Heather.

  3. I have the distinct impression that NBC Bay Area is in the middle of a COVID outbreak. Janelle Wang disappeared last week, followed by Audrey Asistio yesterday. Both of their Instagram feeds have been silent and those two are always posting. Yesterday Jessica Aguirre anchored the 4:30 and the 5 back to back which nobody had ever done before. Today the 4:30 was anchored by Chris Chmura and the 5 by Kris Sanchez and Bigad Shaban. Something is definitely off at KNTV.

  4. I think Sal is the weakest link on the Mornings on 2 program. When they go to him for traffic reports, he is the only one that has the scanner up too loud and/or has an echo from the mics. He often times mis-speaks or wastes his time on some random tangent; and then he must rush through the traffic report. Additionally, he tries too hard to be quick witted, but he fails to achieve that. He is stale at best and a muttering fool at worst. His performances make me cringe, but (like a train wreck) I can’t look away. I would much rather listen to Dave Clark, Gasia Mikaelian and any of Sal’s stand-ins when he is absent from work. I know, this is just my opinion, and I know everyone has one. However, after watching this episode, I truly wonder if you are objectively looking at Sal, Dave & Gasia.
