Somerville Monday Decision; More Cumulus Cuts Coming; KN...

  1. I would imagine that Frank enter a plea of nolo contendere. Fall on your sword and take your punishment. I may be wrong. His problems are not with the state, so much as the civil case. Property damage with bodily injury. Cumulus is still deeply mired in much ambiguity re: Current status and recently expired Exchange Offer of lien notes. More questions than answers right now it appears.

    1. Mr. Sanctimonious fall on his own sword?! Are you kdding?! That's for other people. He has a brown daughter, for crying out loud. That's his Get Out of Jail Free card.

    2. 1:47. If he still has aspirations of remaining in his profession, it would serve him well to be contrite before the magistrate and graciously accept whatever punitive measures are meted-out. This will be his litmus test.

  4. We saw the video, we read the paper, we read your column Rich - Somerville made some egregious errors.
    He’s human. People screw up.
He is in his mid 60’s and like most folks that age - the companies ease you toward, or out, the door by then.
Frank needs to enjoy retirement: travel, get out of his head, get away from family, and forget KTVU.
It is called “moving on”. Frank must have made Bank over the years - he likely does not need to start selling stuff to survive. So start going through the bucket list - pay the Man if that’s part of the plea deal. Don’t look back.

  6. Stop backing up this guy when you know him too well. He should serve time to wake himself up into the real world. Too many unacceptable cases with him

  7. If Cumulus cuts I wonder if they will hit KMJ in Fresno?

  9. Can we PLEASE talk about the bizarre hand movements Devin Fehely makes on PIXplus? Is he signing some secret code? Like "I'm trapped on Battery Street in a ratings sinkhole - help!!?"

  10. Frank should get the same treatment for drunk driving as everybody else,no special treatment than everbody else.

  11. Cumulus Cuts? Are we talking paper-cuts, or beheadings? Big difference. Some of the stations could use a major overhaul, and the others a crew-cut. There used to be the old “cull the herd” just to shake up the sitting order. Made folks nervous, and work a little harder. But such stuff is ineffective now - with millions working from home, a few missing from payroll goes completely unnoticed. In Cumulus’ case, “shoot the loudmouths first!”

  12. Cumulus is one of the mega-companies that swooped in when the media was deregulated. They bought navy well know stations and slowly strangled the life out of them. Look sh how they totally eviscerated KGO, turning them a joke; a syndicated sports betting station.
