  1. All of this drama in the mouse house has to be related to Nelson Peltz and Trian Group engaged in a proxy war with Disney. I'm sure the downstream is palpable. Iger is D.M.W.

    4. Disney business is doing fantastically well. All the naysayers should review the stock performance, “the woke and broke” stuff is a hokey joke.

  3. Wow... Dang, that's crazy stuff. Michael Finney has been on ABC-7 since I was a kid in the 90's. Definitely part of the end of an era on ABC-7

  7. Chris Chmura has been patiently waiting for Finneys well deserved retirement either to accelerate his franchise at KNTV or step into Finneys role at KGO

  8. Who cares? Local news is dumb. Waste of time. I can get news on my phone. TV news is all just rip-and-read anyway. There's no original content any longer. Why bother?

    1. To quote an insurance commercial: “And, you are here why?” If news media is not your cup of tea, what brings you here wise one?

  14. I wonder if Michael Finney will go to KOFY TV to do his own show since KOFY will switch to Merit Street Media affiliation on Tuesday April 2 with the likes of Nancy Grace and Phil McGraw shows...

  16. It's Sunday night at 5pm and not only do I not see this news anywhere else but Finney is still prominently featured on the ABC7 website. You sure about this? Or are we back to partnering with Blindgossip?

  17. Wow. I don't understand the negativity here regarding Finney. The guy was pretty lowkey, helped a lot of people for over 3 decades, and there is negativity here? That's pretty sad. While I DO agree that paying someone over $300,000 for what he did, does seem quite extravagant, that was what the market paid at the time. I do agree that they can get someone else to do basically the same thing, for about 66% less money, such as Stephanie Sierra.

  18. This is Frank Somerville. I have no clue why they would get rid of finney. He and his crew actually MADE a difference in people’s lives. I can only hope that another station picks him up. Yes. He’s THAT good.

  19. I know it probably will not happen but going over to KPIX makes sense...they need a consumer based reporter or heck maybe go downstairs on Front Street and join KRON but then again the cheap owners (Nexstar) will not pay him the $$$ because they are cheap...
