Please ask about Anne’s proclivities. She certainly seemed to have a healthy libido. One time when Larry King came into studio, I thought she was going to mount him on set. Not kidding.
Ross is doing fine up in the North Bay - see him around town all the time. He is a nice guy, is unpretentious. Friends who know him say he is a regular ol joe. Mr BigShot he is not.
8:43, two things can be true at once. Yes, Renel, at least in this moment in time, would be a "get" for sure. But also true is that Ross McGowan is one of the absolute top-5 all-time legends of Bay Area media. Your comment 'a real "get" would be Renel' would be like after Rich announces an interview with Stephen Curry someone said a real "get" would be Michael Jordan.
10:50, are you making a joke? Your comment is somewhere between hilarious and bizarre. In any event, I’m pretty sure you’re the only person in the history of mankind who would call McGowan “one of the top-5 all-time legends of Bay Area media.” And to equate his stature in media to that of Steph Curry is ridiculous. I have nothing against McGowan and always enjoyed watching him, but your comment is preposterous.
Be sure to ask Ross about the time they had to pause the filming of a People are Talking episode for nearly 20 minutes when an audience member made diarrhea in their chair. The in-studio guest who they were interviewing at that moment had the most priceless reaction ever.
This is NOT Frank Somerville and I never met Ross but I always enjoyed him on People are Talking! Also when he did mornings on 2. Smooth, classy and professional were adjectives I’d use as a viewer to describe him.
Malou Nubla....now I feel old. She use to news anchor the early early morning newscast and her sister Christine was the weather/traffic anchor. Both are very attractive.
Rich please interview Smilin’ Rick Quan, who is talking sports in Hawai’i I wonder what he’d say about the differences between newsrooms here and there? One bets he lives the Aloha lifestyle with glee.
When Quan was still here in the early 2000s? I recall once at the Bay Bridge toll plaza in traffic I looked over and it was Quan driving one of those big luxurious Lexus cars that were popular at the time. He had that grin like a pimp on top of the world. Probably grin is bigger now in Hawaii.
Kudos on the Ross interview. He always came off as a great guy and I'm looking forward to watching. Rich, if you could pull off an interview with Dennis Richmond or Elaine Corral that would be incredible

ReplyDeleteLarry would have been ready for her, with those boner pills he was taking. They still air those late night ads, where he was peddling that stuff.
DeleteI was a kid at the time and now looking back on her persona I could see her being a true horn dog
DeleteWe he still be alive? I saw him 20 years ago. Not looking so good.

Delete7:41. Yes. This is true. Just like the late Jack Hansen in Novato.
DeleteRich: A real "get" would be Renel.
ReplyDeleteI think Richie should try for Glen and Renel together.

Interview Gary Radnich, by far the biggest ego in Bay Area TV.

ReplyDeleteLOL!!! I’d love to hear Ross retell that story
DeleteThis is Frank Somerville. Ross is one of the best people I’ve ever worked with. Just a great guy. Can’t wait to hear the interview.

DeleteHey Frank, how's everything going? Any hot leads?
DeleteRoss is a top 10 Bay Area media personality. Good get. Him and Malou Nubla are must watch tv.

Rick is a news anchor now - it surprised me when I saw him on the local Hawaii networks.
