  2. I've always liked Marty. Him and Bill Laskey, too. They both have a laid back and understated style that I enjoy listening to.

  3. It's disheartening to see Rich Lieberman's blog decline so drastically. The lack of passion and originality is evident, with content becoming a monotonous repetition of the same old material. It's a shame to witness such a fall from grace.

  4. Marty is a Bay Area legend - dating back to his A's days. In the age of podcasts, he should have a regular podcast even during the offseason. His storytelling is exactly why baseball is such a great talking sport.

  5. Guess you’re like the rest of these clowns now not posting my comments about what a dumpster fire this blog has become.

Glad I’m not giving one more penny to you.

  6. Marty Lurie is a feeble old coot who needs to be put out to pasture

  7. I have not been to this blog in a long time and it’s weird it’s no longer a blog. I watched a minute or two of your video and you kind of look like Richard Nixon. I’m not into watching videos but it looks like you do that now. Good luck!

  8. Off-topic, but what's happening with Julie Haener? Has she retired, been laid off, or fired? She hasn't been on air for over two weeks, and there's been no mention of her. Her son has been on the NFL's inactive list since his suspension ended, so her absence isn't related to that.

    1. @10:07- On Facebook, I saw that Heather Holmes posted pics of her and Julie Haener's trip to New Orleans and Paris. So I guess Julie Haener is on vacation with Heather Holmes?

Kind of strange to take a trip like this before Christmas though

  9. Kind of a strange title for this article, but watching the video, I understand Rich's point. LOL. Some people might take chicken soup as a negative connotation, but Rich meant it as a complement.

Marty Lurie is pretty good, even though it sucks that the Giants the past few seasons outside of the 107 win season in 2021, haven't had a team worth really talking about. With that being said, kind of unfortunate that Marty doesn't do his longer Giants postgame show on weekends during baseball season anymore.

  10. Marty Lury is terrible. That soft New York accent sounds so nauseating. He’s a garbage wannabe baseball historian.

  11. Listened to KNBR's 49ers game on 12/10/23, ugh, not listening anymore, used to be scores kept up by past announcers, presently they stink, had to wait through useless gambit rambles and if you're lucky you may get the scores

  12. Just hearing your pawn to Marty Lurie. Long overdue in the media, you nailed it. It is no doubt the best listen on radio in the Bay Area. Marty speaks to the fan in all of. A cornucopia of Baseball stories, books and their authors. You hear nuggets from players past and present. The bit wirh Bruce Jenkins is the best 20-30 minutes in radio anywhere. Rich, thanks for recognizing him and his show
