Kim Wonderley Still MIA at KCBS-- Dealing With "Profound" Issue; Lean KQED News Show on Tap; KRONvicts on Somerville Latest: "Gross"; Bloomberg on KSFO? Rumor; Orozco KTVU New Look? Ouch

Kim Wonderley is dealing with a "profound, serious, personal issue," a source told me in a conversation this week..

The veteran KCBS traffic anchor has been MIA al,ost three months. Her return is inknown.

The source added it's likely Wonderley will not be back anytime soon.

*If KQED adds a new news show next year, it's likely a one-anchor program that is a lean operation and nothing major--KQED is on the cheap.

*NOT ALL KRON personnel is thrilled over the latest interview of troubled ex-KTVU anchor, Frank Somerville. "it's kind of 'gross," sid a station vet to me. "Enough is enough."

Only KRON news bosses know the opposite.

*The Chronicle barely prints 30 thousand papers a day., further indication the printed paper is nearing its demise. Any day now.

*If Bloomberg BUYS KSFO, you read it here first.

*"Murph and Marcus?": OMG, Death Valley sports radio.

*KNBR, The Sports Bleeder.

*Somerville was right about one thing. He was a real good anchor, a top-tier guy, but he blew it all away. Damn.

*KTVU's Rosie Orozco new make-up? OMG, the password is GROSS!

  3. I’d say Kim’s husband Kevin the Rat still being unemployed is a serious, profound and personal issue.

    1. Your right Rat being out of work is bumming him out. We enjoyed seeing him at work in the past and he really loved what he did. Kim is keeping him close until things improve and we hope Rat is feeling better soon. The best answer for anyone in our business who lost work is to seek work in a Los Angeles or New York we know easier said than done. It's a cruel business we can all agree on that.

  4. I watched the piece on Frank. I agree with his comment. Why you can’t celebrate his honesty. His transparency and his hard work is beyond me. Being an addict is full of ups and downs. But it’s clear that he has turned a corner. Sadly haters like you and many of your followers are just going to continue to hate. From reading his posts on Facebook about his recovery he’s an inspiration to a hell of a lot of people. What he’s doing takes a lot of courage. You should try it sometime. Humility and grace go a long way. But it seems you and most of your followers only know one emotion. Anger. That’s such a shame.
