Jocelyn Moran has JOINED NBC Bay Area. Her last day at PIX was Friday.

She'll both report in the field and do fill-in anchoring.

  5. I’m guessing some of the female anchors at NBC 11 are a little concerned. A good old fashioned cat fight.

  9. First of all, it is great to see a PRINT edition of your blog! But I digress.. Secondly, to me this is sad because Jocelyn Moran is someone I have mentioned in my comments ever since she first came to KPIX two years ago now. Even in the beginning, she "had it". Then, over the past couple of years, she has grown and gotten better as a reporter, but also, she seems to have made over herself in the process and gotten totally HOT! I get it though, with KPIX, like KGO, being in disarray, so she wanted out. I get that. But for me, going to San Jose is like going into oblivion, since I never watch NBC or even, regular tv programming anymore, but only watch news on KPIX, KGO, and KRON. I will also miss Jocelyn...

    1. I like to read the blog and skip most videos.

    2. I agree about having a print blog. I spend my whole damn day immersed in watching/writing to/and editing video. In my time away from work/the station, the last thing I wanna do is watch MORE video--especially if it's just a talking head w/o Broll.

    1. I’m a Broadcaster at KCBS, your sister station. Saw her once in the breakroom, that’s it.

    1. I was looking for the bio for the new morning anchor, Nicole Zaloumis. The website is dated.

  14. Maybe at KNTV she won't have to film her stuff on an iPhone, which is how they're doing it at KPIX these days.

KPIX can afford fancy weather software that does NOTHING and a new set and to promote Sara Donchey as the new "It" girl, but can't pay a photographer. (They don't make much.)

  15. ALL the stations use iPhones at some point. Not everyone has a photog with them.

    1. Explains why stuff looks like s--- these days, with poor framing, awkward standups and lots of editing glitches.

  16. Jocelyn was spot on with her anchoring and reporting. Hope it will go well for her in KNTV.

Meantime, as of today Nov 15 the 3PM KPIX news is now completely dedicated to Liz Cook.

  17. Good luck dealing with Mean Audrey. She is one reporter I don’t watch NBC 11

  18. I love watching her doing the evening street newscast. KPIX is such a mess with their anchors switching them back and forth and who the heck is the guy at 8PM, channel 44 on prime time.

  19. Love Jocelyn but watching on 11/16/23 evening on a segment on how APEC affected 2 huge lesbian's wedding, seriously? Not watching KPIX, buh bye

  20. As a Latino I must say I’d never heard of this woman but I’m impressed by her rapid climb. She literally was in college 4 years ago. I also find her extremely appealing visually. Ay Dios mio!!!

  21. Good for her. I've always liked her and appreciated her style of reporting. Guess I'll be switching to NBC 11
