KRON, really its parent,
Nexstar, isn't formally bringing in someone outside the Bay Area to replace
Pam Moore. It's a straight-out money deal, or in this case,
lack of.
Which makes the idea of placing Noelle Bellow at 6 and 10 much more logical. For a variety of reasons.
Noelle is fresh and young. Engaging and full of vitality. No, she\ doesn't have that
traditional anchor look, but so what? She's more than seasoned in my book.
Why not Noelle Bellow?
This is someone that KRON can build around and make into a star. She's got news chops too and can ad-lib and ask the right questions. She's solid and future network-quality.
KRON, do the right thing.
It's her weight. TV news is still very visual. Not fat shaming, just speaking fact.

Ms. Bellow reads words other people write for her while sitting at a desk and trying not to pop one of the buttons on her top. Let's get some perspective here.

DeleteNoelle looks fine. Sure, she carries a few more pounds than most of the twiggy talent, but it doesn't stop her from being a good communicator. And i think she's more relatable than some women on tv who look gaunt and anorexic. Because she's young, Noelle does a better job of attracting viewers in the demo than some of the older anchors in town.

ReplyDeleteActually, I think she would be an excellent replacement. She has the skills to hold down the anchor desk for years to come and is likeable. I also think she is very attractive.
