News Item: Jamie Baker has decided to leave the San Jose Sharks as its color analyst on NBC Sports cable.
Flash: Randy Hahn, the superb Sharks TV PBP broadcaster (pictured on left with Drew Remenda) is now paired with Bret Hedican. But the Sharks need a color guy with Baker's departure.
Why not bring back Drew Remenda? Remenda is as popular as ever and would provide the NorCal hockey region a much-needed jolt. Remenda is as popular ever.
So, Hasso Plattner, Sharks owner, be the genius you are and hire back Drew.
Drew was AWESOME! However, he lives in Canada and has no desire to come back to NorCal. (He is on with Dork Tolbert every once in a while and has expressed zero interest in coming back.)
ReplyDeleteI think they should bring back Robin Bawa.
ReplyDeleteAnd Dave Snuggerud, too.
DeleteVery sorry to see Jamie leave and hope it's for positive reasons for him. Bringing Drew back would be fantastic. The Sharks' connection with the fans dropped when the let him go, and I don't believe it's coincidence that attendance starting to slip around the same time Drew was let go.
ReplyDeleteFrom your mouth to Plattner's ears. It would be awesome to bring back Drew Remenda.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Remenda return!
ReplyDeleteAny word on why Baker isn't returning? I suspect that it may be a health-related reason.
Drew is an excellent choice and return to the Sharks.
ReplyDeleteAny chance of Papa leaving the 49ers and joining the Sharks????
ReplyDeleteDrew was a great analyst. He wasn't a Sharks corporate suck up. When the sharks sucked, he would straight out call the players out.
ReplyDeleteAs long as Hasso Plattner owns the team, Remenda will not return. Drew has explained this on the TealTownUSA podcast.
