Ding Dong The Witch is Dead

vintage san francisco | Tumblr

IT'S 7 AM MONDAY and guess what? You know what people are talking about? Not the election, which in theory, they should be, but no, they're not. They're talking about that vital national security issue, the death of game-show host, Alex Trebek. That's both comforting and troubling.

Not that the Jeopardy host isn't big news, it is. More importantly, he is. In a murky, crazy, bizarre world where common reason and control was sort of vagabond, Alex Trebek was secretary of state, a calming influence. At least before Saturday, when all hell broke out and a sliver of hope ensued all across America and into the streets. For once, the establishment's involvement was much needed and regaled. Hope was back.

I watched the early morning news on all the cable stations. CNN called what the AP had told its affiliates was, a FLASH was coming...

"Dateline, Philadelphia …. Biden goes over the top. Pennsylvania is called. Biden goes over the Electoral College threshold of 270." Let the celebration begin and boy did it ever.

It wasn't just CNN, but by golly, Fox News too. Who'd have thunk. Then the major networks like ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox over-the-air, its de facto real news network with Chris Wallace saying, "Biden has carried Pennsylvania and is now 'president-elect." Happy Days are here again.

415 Media is watching the streets here erupt in joy from Lake Merritt to across the bay in Downtown. I wasn't around during WW Two but some guy sipping a beer on Piedmont Ave told me it looked and sounded much the same if not even greater.

This is not a political blog even if at times, I stretch the map and react to the obvious. I try not to inject my own politics into the equation (ha!) but Saturday was too intense (positive) to not react. It was a time to celebrate. Ding Dong, the witch is dead. So to speak.

I realize for some of you The Donald is your nirvana but our nation is not. It's as if a major wart was removed from our torsos. You can be a supreme populist and tell the establishment pols to go to hell, I get it. Trump was your savior because he said he media was enemy of the state and that Biden sucked. Good luck with that long term. We needed some restoration of the senses and Saturday was that return to   civilization. You don't have to be a Democrat or Republican to enjoy that distinction.

Yes indeed, Ding Dong, the witch is dead.

  1. Masses of Trump's zealots are none too pleased with Fox News, nowadays. What a soap opera that situation is turning out to be!

So Sorry... but The Judges will decide this, NOT your bought & paid for Media-Propagandists! You can take THAT to Da Bank!

    1. What are you going to say when the judges do nothing?

Not even the handmaiden that Trump had special-installed for this occasion.

    2. Well, "The Judges" are composed of legal experts. And here's what legal experts are saying in Pennsylvania:

David Becker, executive director and founder of the Center for Election Innovation and Research, said the Trump campaign "continues to spread lies about transparency of this process and the access to observers. Trump campaign observers and Republican Party observers were present at every moment that every ballot was considered in Pennsylvania."
David Becker, executive director and founder of the Center for Election Innovation and Research, said the Trump campaign "continues to spread lies about transparency of this process and the access to observers…He said the Trump campaign admitted as much in a hearing before a federal judge last week, when a lawyer said there were "a non-zero number" of observers from the campaign present during ballot counting in Philadelphia.
Laura Humphrey, a spokeswoman for Secretary of the Commonwealth Kathy Boockvar, said the office could not comment on pending litigation. Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro called the suit "meritless" and said the election was "overseen by bipartisan election officials and was lawful, fair and secure."
Shapiro said the lawsuit will end up like others filed in Pennsylvania: "found to have no merit by courts at all levels."
      Legal experts agreed.

    3. Furthermore it looks like the allegations of witnessed voter fraud in PA were fabricated as well:

Seems like whenever there are valid instances of vote tampering, they're all Republican. Sort of like the Nazis wondering who set fire to the Reichstag.

  3. Censoring again Rich? Doesn't fit the narrative eh? The lie is exposed and it is unraveling before your eyes. The world knows the truth.

  4. 6:43/Black Virgo--
Your post is laughable. Elections have been and will always be a STATE matter. District and Appeals Courts will throw back these frivoulous lawsuits--trying their damndest not to be laughing while doing so. These lawsuits will never make it to the Trump-packed SCOTUS.

Also...I can see your GOP-controlled puppet strings. Next time, use fishing line. It's practically transparent and almost undetectable. Wake up, dude. You can now relax...and drop the Steppin Fetchit routine. Your Massa will be moving out of the big house...and into the Big House.

  5. There is no widespread fraud this time. The fraud happened when Trump won the electoral college and lost the popular vote. The electoral college needs to go.

    1. The electoral college might need to go, but it was not fraud. You might think it is unfair, you might be upset that Trump won, as I was (at least now he is out)but he won fair and square, just as Biden now won fair and square.

  7. Putting aside the Hairpiece Sadists, I noticed, Rich, that one of your east favorite local media personalities has decided to retire this coming February (thankfully back to 28 days, instead of the Election Year 29). Gotta hear your next Good Riddance post about KQED Radio's biggest personality.

  9. All Electoral votes will be decided by the Senate after this abortion by 12/14.

I suggest you just kill yourself now. MSM will be able to sell this to the American public. You have a target on your back.

Deservedly so. "PEOPLE SHOULD NEVER FEAR GOVERNMENT, GOVERNMENT SHOULD FEAR THEIR PEOPLE. "
