The Mouse Knows

Cable company owned by abc and group wBIG BRASS at ABC/Disney: the top suit is aware of the so-called  "petition", signed mostly by some KGO-TV staffers and orchestrated by anchor, Kristen Sze.

More precisely, this.

As per normal company policy, so far it's a very secretive situaton --no one is talking on the record but then again, the fact they're looking at anything is revealing.

"They look at everything", says a Mouse mole. "So it's pretty much SOP."

The contact is right. It could be just routine biz but I can assure you top brass are not exchanging cookie recipes,

We'll see.

Most people know this, the Mouse does NOT like being in headlines unless it involves humans buying Mickey t-shirts and Star Wars cups and tix to theme parks.

It's sort of a 'humn" time.

  1. Sounds like Ms Sze needs to crawl back in her little hole and keep a low profile going forward

  2. I'm thinking the best thing for KGO-TV would have been to ignore you; or at least to have its legal department to have a meeting about you & your blog. A small group of local employees should not have taken any action in an attempt to "cancel" you, again without legal counsel (unknown whether any legal counsel was used).

I don't know how some type of signed letter was transmitted or what the expected/intended outcome was. I suppose everyone is entitled to their personal opinion, however.

  3. 9:20...aw, how big of you! You "suppose everyone is entitled to their personal opinion" do you? There is no legal issue here. The women who signed the letter simply object to the content of a blog which routinely offers content they find insulting. They haven't threatened to sue anyone. I'm pretty sure, having worked for them in the past, that Disney won't be "disciplining" anyone and for what?

  4. Meanwhile this makes Cibrowski look ridiculous. Getting involved with an employees gripe with a blogger. Surely he has bigger fish to fry? Or if not what the hell is he doing in the GM seat? Acting more like the principal from Saved By The Bell than a GM. Imagine working for someone that petty and desperate to pander to his anchors. No thank you.

    1. Not really surprising. He's a first time GM. Was never a news director anywhere. Resume is all New York producer to EP at GMA. Zero local news experience. Must have sucked up in NYC to get the job as his sunset gig. Because he has ZERO qualification for it. The mouse should know better. Taking a big chance with a station poised to move up if led by someone with a clue.

You can't ignore #MeToo, and I'm sure this is how Sze coached the whole thing.

  6. I won’t mind if someone at KGO-TV got canned or disciplined as long as this blog is closed down

  7. Last I checked freedom of speech is protected by the constitution. The letter signed by the gang of 29 is a lot to do about nothing.

    1. Dear 3:03. The Bill of Rights, which is contained in the Constitution, only protects speech( and by extension the speaker) from government prosecution. It does not protect speech or speaker from other consequences, including those of the marketplace. It's time for you to actually "check" the first amendment, again.

    2. Dear 3:03, listen to the know-it-all who just gave you an F for not knowing this.
