Stan Bunger on KCBS Blows Chance to Ask Mayor Breed About Trump-Biden Debate, But What Else is New? Wednesday Open

London Breed - Impakter
RICH LIEBERMAN 415 MEDIA: The Arrogant Stan Bunger Refuses To Tell Audience 'I'm Stan Bunger'. KCBS Morning Muddle

Stan Bunger, the massively overrated KCBS veteran morning anchor, interviewed Mayor London Breed on Wednesday (today) It was an audio photo op for the mayor; they spoke about the partial reopening of SF restaurants --Breed was doing her thing and Bungerr was a willing co-opt in the mayor's opportunity for a mostly fluff-filled five or so minutes on the telephone.

But he,y screw creativity!

Bunger had a real opportunity to do something original. It would have been spontaneous and it would have made for something potentially interesting and off the beaten path. Something unique, maybe like...
'
Ask her highness about last night's debate. Yeah, that thing. The thing that everyone is talking about whether at home or work or at home working. After all, the mayor is head of a major city; the mayor has endorsed Joe Biden; the may mayor, I don't know, probably has an opinion or two, call me crazy but I bet she would have talked a second or two or three.

INSTEAD, Bunger, who talks extemporaneously ad nauseum about the weather and pontificates as if he were Willard Scott, stuck to the notes and willfully participated in Mayor Breed's free PR app, another ho-hum few minutes of basic standard political faire and UNBELIEVABLY, Blunder, eh, Bunger had a chance to make some real news and catch Breed for something different, something outside the box and he FLUBBED, of course he did.

  1. California is not in play. We are a winner take all state..All electoral votes from California go to the winner. This is also a solidly blue state and donnie has not a chance in hell of winning California. The states that matter are swing states with tight margins. In any event, Donnie needs to be committed, stat. Did they give him way too much adderall way too close to the moment he stepped on stage?

    1. The sad thing is his supporters think he did great and "killed it" in the debate. That's the sort of president they want: a bully. (Unless the other person is Putin or Kim Jong Un. Then he speaks with deference and admiration. Is that Reagan I hear rolling over in his grave?)

    2. Uh - I don't think Dump took adderall, speed-boat. I think he's certifiably mentally ill and unbalanced - in any circumstance, all day, every day. He's clearly unfit for office, and a clear and present danger to this country. Can't we get moving on the 25th Amendment???

  2. "Bunger had a chance to make some real news "

NOTHING Mayor Breed would have said about the debate would have been "news"...
Rather it would have simply been the party line.. Trump awful, Biden did a good job...
Would have been as interesting as interviewing a fire fighter on his opinion on whether we should put out a fire.

    1. Biden didn't have time to do any sort of job. It's clear Trump's strategy was since there's nothing of substance he can discuss, just steamroller with insults. Some people think that's a "strong" leader. You know, Mussolini strutting around on a balcony acting like a bigshot.

    2. Truth. This is like saying the Stan Bunger equivalent at KTRH (News Radio in Houston) were to interview Katy, Texas Mayor, Bill Hastings: "How did Trump do?"

  3. Adderall? A psychotically petulant clown like him? Wouldn't that be yet another sign of the coming Apocalypse?

  4. Hey Rich. Inquiring minds want to know. Today I heard that Dr. Savage was not going to be on the radio anywhere come January. Only on his Podcast. Is that due to health reasons, ratings or what?

After listening to him praise Trumps performance and completely laying the blame on Mike Wallace I am pretty much done trying to listen to him anymore anyway

  5. I am glad Bunger didn't ask London Breed for her opinion on the debate. I don't need yet another far left liberal delivering another biased opinion on the debate, keep her comments focused solely where they belong, on the People's Republic of San Francisco.

  6. Thank God Stan didn't ask Breed about the debate. The entire globe is yakking about it, most of us either saw it or have seen clips.

Plenty of other opportunities for anyone who understandably wants to vent.

But I've heard enough, and really don't give an eff what London has to add to the cacophony.

Good on Stan for giving us all at least a brief reprieve in one damn segment.

  7. Who cares what WildeBreed has to say about politics? You already know what her response with be.

And she probably wouldn't be too happy if he went off script. Canned questions, lots of prep, like with Biden.
