It's a lazy Sunday. I don't know what to do. I got out early and grabbed a Sunday paper and coffee. It's a beautiful day to watch a baseball game at the actual park but they don't let humans in, only cardboard cutouts, so I'll settle down and make believe.
The boob tube. I watched a little A's and Giants even though I can't get into baseball this year --2020 being 2020 and all the crummy stuff. It's a depressing deal and a real drag, there's nothing like it.
Which brings me to something quite original and not for the good reason(s): Amy G , the alleged "reporter" working as the game correspondent for the Giants. Amy G is not all that terrible, just sort of uber-annoying, sort of like a nasty cold that lingers. You eventually get over it but it leaves behind bad memories and total discomfort. Like Amy G.
It's not Amy G's fault she's Amy G. She is there and there to perform a job, I guess --I still can't figure it out, I think she's there for all the Roys in Concord who do a lot of daydreaming and that's about it. I wish Amy G were a bit more substance but she isn't. And being it's 2020, that's perfectly fine I guess.
She’s not a talented journalist. She’s not a talented entertainer. That woman is a flat chested bore!
ReplyDeleteWhy do they allow old unattractive woman on tv. Put Bonnie Jill Lauflin in for Amy. Now that’s entertainment!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see Bonnie Jill get a shot. Since she began, Amy has been average at best and there has been no
Deleteimprovement whatsoever.
How many 415 readers can tell the difference between Amy G and the cardboard cutouts? I can't.
ReplyDeleteSports is just like the military; there is simply no reason for wimmin to be involved.
ReplyDeleteI still don't understand the point of Amy G.
ReplyDeleteShe's OK. Radio/TV "voices" should be like NFL Offensive Linemen: If at the end of a game you haven't heard that O-lineman's name called, he did a good job. To put this in perspective: If at the end of a game I don't know who the PBB/Color/Sideline reporter are, then they did a good job. I don't need them to be entertaining--I just want them to describe the play or give analysis. If at the end I say, "Damn--who WERE those clowns? They were annoying"...then they did a bad job. I can honestly say I don't have anything bad to say about the KNBR crew. Are they Andres Cantor or Ken "PutItOnTheBoarrrrd...YESSSS!" Harrelson? Do they say "ADIOS..PELOTA!" No--and I'm thankful for that.
ReplyDeleteJust plain awful
ReplyDeleteShe is innocuous, showing the signs of going from semi-hot...to matronly. It happens. Look at our announcers.. Tossing in some young hottie just wouldn't jive. I personally prefer Kelli Johnson. (s/p). Knowledgeable, sharp, prepared. It's a time of transition and I mean I mean on many levels.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the game. While we still have it.
Isn't it true Amy is there only because she's a favorite of the guy who pushed his wife to the ground while trying to grab the phone out of her hand. I think Amy is a waste of time on the broadcasts while Larry should have been run out of town long ago.
ReplyDeleteI’d take a bit of Amy G......plus, she has great teeth.
ReplyDeleteIsn't she there to interview the cardboard cut outs in the stands?
ReplyDeleteI like Amy G.
ReplyDeleteShe is not bad for the BA, and looks good in that picture. If you want something hot and know sports try Charrisa Thompson on Fox Sports.
