Will the Planet Survive Bonnie Jill-Laflin Being 86ed by KNBR?

First day in the books on the KNBR Murph... - Bonnie-Jill Laflin ...

YEAH, so KNBR finally pulled the plug on the joke known as Bonnie Jill-Laflin, the question I have: what took so long?

BJL was let go, mercifully --Chuck Barney of the Mercury News reported it first.

I'm fairly confident the world will survive Bonnie Jill's ouster and that women sports people will be able to shake this off. Of course I'm being sarcastic and there's many reasons why.

Bonnie Jill never resonated with me. I'm betting she got the job at KNBR not because she was qualified --she wasn't--I'm saying she got the job because she's got a great body and she was once a cheerleader, that's why. Which we all know works well on RADIO!

Bonnie Jill wasn't entirely horrible -more like god awful. She has no voice. She has no relevance. She never said anything. She never added anything even to a show as terrible as KNBR's morning show but that's another topic. She was zero. Nada. A diseased parakeet would have been better than Bonnie Jill, but why quibble.

I'm all for equal rights and women sports journalist and women on sports radio. I love women. Women are the greatest species on the planet. Without women, there are no men and women. It's pretty simple.

I even voted for Hillary Clinton.

Chicks dig me even if my life is complicated.

I still never got the phenomena known as Bonnie Jill-Laflin. It was like a box of nothing and nothing burgers with no salt and pepper. The blueprints should have been a whole lot better but no one bothered to take a look. That would have saved a lot of money and time.

Back to cheerleading.

  1. Writing was on the wall a long time ago for BJL. I am surprised she wasn't axed as Covid hit. Maybe just saw out her contract. She was barely on in the end, and you could tell she didn't have her heart in it. She'll be fine, of course. Maybe back to scouting in the NBA. Or just modeling something or other. Fare thee well. We hardly knew thee Bonnie-Jill.

  3. Too bad they didn't escort Paulie Mac to the door as well. How people can listen to his incessant psychobabble is way beyond me.

  4. Her voice was horrible. And I hate how she’s always whispering when she works from home. Like she’s afraid to wake up the guys sleeping in her studio that spent the night.

  10. Never understood the hire to begin with. I'm sure Murph and Mac have got to be tickled that she's history. That being said, the show will still suck. I'm not interested in hearing about how Costco no longer sell half sheet cakes any more. Over at 95.7 the game, they make an effort to stick to talking about SPORTS.

  11. She is good looking. Good looking women ... Caucasian especially, will always get a break in this country. I was just watching CBS Evening News with Margaret Brennan.... she it's almost as beautiful as Norah O'Donnell.

    1. That's good to hear about Margaret and Norah. I am of Irish descent and when I was a kid, someone asked me
"What do you call a beautiful woman in Ireland?" I didn't
know and the answer was..........a tourist.
It's good to see we are catching up - sweet revenge!!
