*The few people at the 900 Front ABC7/KRON studios on the Embarcadero there are hasn't prevented someone (again) from ripping off several cases of toilet paper from the offices. I know times are tough but really? What a crapper.
*Disney is having severe cash-flow issues like a lot of other companies but it should and could save some moolah to re-up one of its most prized and loyal anchors -he's earned his stripes and should not become the next male Carolyn Johnson.
*Aaron Pero, the KRON ND, one of your more prized ex-pupils who you made crying leaving your office one time a few years back is seeing a LOYAH and it has nothing to do with cookie recipes.
*Condolences to KGO Radio's Chip Franklin on the passing of his mom on Sunday. She lived to 98. I'd take that. Losing a mom is the worst even when a higher being comes knocking.
*Franklin was on KGO this morning as Nikki Medoro was off due to furlough status which is kind of lousy timing for the Nikster. The show needs momentum not stagnation.
*Stephanie Androuny, the ND at NBC Bay Area has an emerging tough decision to make and it's not pleasant: a certain assignment editor with a past inconvenient truth involving a post-work cocktail that went sort of bad.
*Raj Mathai, ladies man, who would have thunk?
*The news writers at Circle7 are royally pissed off which isn't that big a deal but lately? It is a big deal, trust me.
*Blustery en fuego the slightly obnoxious weekend weather guy, Darren Peck at PIX now I know why you didn't get the weeknight gig.
*A good cause for justifiable manslaughter: anyone that can rid the morning radio airwaves of that yelling moron pitching new pipes in the house, "I'm in the shower, DON'T FLUSH THE TOILET!" --OMG, just stick your head under the toilet and go away.
Condolences to Chip, I lost my mother years ago. I can feel the pain, but come on Chip, give up the gig this week. KGO couldn't find a replacement. Your job is not that important.
ReplyDeleteManagers are furloughed and there's a hiring freeze, so options are severely limited. He's said that his Mother lived on the East Coast and with Covid-19 restrictions the family was prohibited from even visiting. Some people benefit from the distraction of work, so I don't see anything wrong with his decision.

DeleteReally, options at KGO are limited! This guy craps on everyone that disagrees with him. He couldn't fly to the east coast. He would fly domestic not international. I would fly domestic to take part in my parent's funeral at this time. Family is always more important then your job.

Can you say once upon a time blacks *claimed* they wanted to be treated equally, and they wanted the best person for a job. "I have a dream that one day we will be judged not by the color of our skin but by the content of our character." Now that we've seen the content of their character isn't good for much beyond pulling down statues and burning (mostly minority-owned) businesses, they want to be judged by the color of their skin again. When they can't make it through qualification, they use intimidation. When whites stand up to the intimidation, they use violence.
Yes, I think we've had enough of it. Can't understand why some whites support this nonsense. They don't seem to realize they are just being used by a group who's only skill is intimidation and manipulation. The tactics used have been honed to perfection over the years and whenever they get what they want, they crank it up another notch.

And the white writers will be covering the Opera opening or any fund raising event attended by wealthy donors.
Why not? Black supervisors give the plum assignments to black employees and assign the white employees to jobs that they can't possibly do successfully because they are dealing with blacks who won't cooperate. Then, they sit back and laugh about it. I've four black supervisors, and I know the drill.
