WHO'S MINDING THE STORE AT SFGATE?

Sum Ting Wong at Audrey Cooper's place...

In today's Chronicle website, SF Gate, appears a story under "Most Popular Stories"--it's a very funny piece to be exact but it's also six, that's right, 6 years old!

What's the story?

The Asiana fake airline names KTVU decision to fire its producers who let the boo-boo joke make air.

This is truly weird and I might say, a little embarrassing for the Chronicle. Where's the SFGate editor?

The Chronicle said in a statement over the rehashed story (published August, 2013, yikes!) that the story published was the result of a Reddit discussion. Huh? I know it's Halloween but this has to be a trick.

As of 3: 40 PM PT the story was still on the website. I'm assuming it will be removed sometime soon but remember, it's the SF Chronicle.

  1. All those websites use weird-ass algorithms that make old stories show up from time to time. Completely ridiculous but this is the world we live in

  2. I believe Dana carvey was quietly warned against performing his Chang the chicken salesman on SNL. It stopped eventually.

  3. I remember this some millennial idiot intern but Claudine Wong would have caught this.
