Channel 5, when did you become the reincarnation of TV trash? Was it an overnight sensation or did this mishmash of mockery evolve through decades of trash and by golly, it is trash. A sack of local TV news fit for horny elephants looking to spawn offspring. What a pathetic case of miscreants --if you weren't civilians, you'd be brought before the World Court in The Hague and tried for malpractice and a threat to humanity in the Bay Area, my God have you fallen, 855 Battery.

You should put a toupee on your head and regenerate a brain; Liz Cook, I had hope for you because you could actually read the teleprompter and look like something; your dresses have no stance or savvy --when did you begin shopping at Sears? Dennis O'Donnell: what a sad statement for sports anchoring is you. Maybe the Old Ship has taken its toll on you; call Rosenheim and chug a few pours down the hatch and stop making goo-goo eyes at the bartender at Balboa; Paul Deanno; OMG, how the mighty has fallen. You need a high-pressure system like I need an old date with Angie Dickinson.

They are such miserable slop, I don't know how they live with themselves. kEthics in journalism? Not at KPIX. I'm sure the FBI is on the case, but I wish I had a good attorney.

DeleteVern Glenn has little sports knowledge. Glenn would be better suited as a comedian, or a Carnival Barker. "Uncle Vern" would be a great Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest host.
Vern Glenn is a terrible sports anchor/reporter. He voice and delivery are annoying like nails on a blackboard. Andrea Nakano is a very good sports anchor and reporter.
DeleteSure miss the old days of "And now...Dave McElhatton, Wendy Tokuda, Wayne Walker on Sports, and Joel Bartlett with weather. This is Eyewitness News..." This was when KPIX was at its best. Sorry to hear they have fallen so far.

ReplyDeleteLocal news is the best comedy going. ALL of it. It's as if these anchors don't even see how bad they really are...or they don't care. How do Execs at KGO keep letting Sze wear the same granny dresses, and blast that annoying cackle? Folsom is just a total wreck, and I can't even find the appropriate words for that KPIX shit show. It's all so far gone...
ReplyDeleteHere's a very unpopular opinion. I think they're excellent. Bastida and Cook are serious when they need to be, and funny when they need to lighten things up. Cook is a pleasant foil to Bastida's grumpy old man routine.
ReplyDeleteDeanno is probably the best weather anchor in town. I think Rich agrees. Would have been nice to throw him a bone in the article.
Sorry, DOD is also the best of the TV sports anchors in town too, way better than Beal or Ibanez. Respected by his peers and athletes.
