9: 19 AM, KGO Radio Host, Owen Spann show interrupted by ABC Radio Network Special Report; early news reports radioactive steam leaks from one of the towers; evacuations from the immediate and outward areas of the plant....


In ensuing days stories emerge of "serious malfunction"; President Carter visits scene of the accident.

    What's really amusing if you click on the link to see all the newspapers is how the guy who's captioned as the health manager of Three Mile Island has a cigarette in his mouth.
