415 Media Exclu: Dunn OUT at KPIX; Morning Show Turbulence at CBS-SF

I'VE BEEN TELLING YOU about the ongoing rancor at KPIX --particularly in the morning. Now that trouble has reached semi-epic proportions as traffic anchor, Jaclyn Dunn, is OUT the door.

Dunn hasn't been feeling well lately, (figuratively speaking) and has been off the air for a few weeks. She probably had a very bad 'PIX headache.

Officially, there's no explanation from CBS local but call it a combo deal. Dunn wasn't given the heave-ho but handwriting on the wall indicated she was about to be axed or a mutual parting would take place. This stuff happens a lot lately at 855 Battery.

In any event, she's gone, maybe headed back to Sacramento where ex-PIXERS seem to find a home or welcomed back by the capitol corridor.

More ominous for PIX isn't that a well-traveled traffic stringer is gone from the set; more likely, a pattern of troubling turbulence on a morning show that continues to crater.

Regime change enfuego. The opening bell has sounded.

    KPIX tried to throw Dunn under the bus...but the Muni bus camera took her picture blocking traffic and mailed KPIX the $180 ticket.

    KPIX never learns.

    Rich has been saying for a while now that things have been going south in the a.m. at KPIX. This was going on long before Ms. Dunn arrived. Why isn't anybody looking at Michelle Griego? They move everybody around her out, yet she's still there and the ratings are still in the tank.

      Any station that has Hackney doing weather and weekends and fill-in work while Veronica De La GAME OOOONNN! gets the star treatment wouldn't know talent if it bit their ass, because it has. But they're more concerned in trying to attract Millennials who don't even own TVs.

    I know Jaclyn is a veteran traffic reporter but she never seemed comfortable on KPIX. Oh well, she has plenty of time to look for a new gig
