IF KTVU WERE WISE, THEY WOULD '86 the very absurd Gasia Mikaelian and insert the classy, dignified and clearly more capable, Pam Cook as the prime anchor on "MO2" --but that would require competent, pragmatic leadership --something that KTVU lacks. At least in the morning. I've always loved Cook for her well-rounded approach and steady anchor delivery and am mystified why the Foxites wouldn't give her a shot as top banana.
I think I know why.
Cook doesn't act like an imbecile on the air. Cook is gracious, confident and doesn't treat the viewers like fools.
You listening, Gaas?
Cook doesn't have to resort to cheap and doofus-like shenanigans; she doesn't have to MUG the camera and come off as a midtown yenta like that of the GAAAS! Gaas has issues but the Fox buttheads seem to either don't care or look the other way because the ratings are good. They are. But not because of the GAAS! The Gaaas is an everyday embarrassment to KTVU and even by its awful owner, Fox, aka: The Firm.
Cook is everything Gaaas isn't; she's a dedicated TV Newswoman journalist with style and grace. Sideshows are beneath her; she's a beautiful woman who knows how to do her job without cheap tricks. But that's not good enough for the Cult in Jack London Square.
Pam Cook, you're one classy dame --you don't have to be a star, baby, to be in my show.

ReplyDeletePam is a good reporter except she is kind of boring to listen to for hours, Gasia steals the show and not as boring. People just change when they get promoted.

ReplyDeleteAs I've said before Cook's delivery is way better than the Gas's but she needs a makeover. If she got a more fashionable wardrobe, new hair cut, her weight wouldn't matter so much. I wonder why Foxification hasn't touched her. She has a monotone and a stammer but that's because she has a kid and has to work at 4am!
