Trump Plays Press For Fools And They Swallow The Bait

Image result for chuck todd kellyanne conway meet the press A majority of the people in, say, Fremont, don't care about Chuck Todd's frustration, however merited, on "Meet The Press" Sunday with spokesyenta, Kellyanne Conway who lied on the show for her boss, Donald Trump, who ordered his secondary liar, Press Secretary Sean Spicer, to spout off fake news. Which he did.

Image result for sean spicerThe press was livid.

Todd wouldn't surrender to Countess Conway and George Whatever on ABC was equal anal.

CNN practically went wall-to-wall Saturday night with the Women's March on Washington but spent almost the entire evening kvetching about The Don and his comedy act at the CIA.

It made for Good TV and lousy country unity, whatever the hell that is.

Fact is, Trump is right. He might as well shoot somebody in Midtown Manhattan and the press would report it and nobody would care. Trump has the media by the you-know-whatsies and they have swallowed the bait.

The man can do no wrong. And 50 percent of the country seems to be OK with that. Seriously.

Chuck Todd can be royally pissed and bent out of shape but Trump can read the room: Tulsa, Grand Rapids, Simi Valley, Knoxville --they hate the press and don't really give a shit about angry Chuck or George or Chris.

Go...go Donald go, go.

I'm not saying this is right. I'm saying this is the way it is, like it or not, for now.

  1. This is going to be fun after the previous Liar in chief and the years of having to listen to his Spin Secretary. Well deserved. Turnabout is fair play.

Get used to it Folks, this is the New Norm, this new crowd in D.C. LIES A LOT!

Exactly. Their one-time advantage (years ago) was lack of bias, or a real attempt to be unbiased. With this election, the gloves are off, the clothes are off. They killed themselves. Might as well get your news from a blog.

  4. Where was Hillary? Five hundred thousand at the Washington protest and no Hillary...Stronger Together????

She was in Washington for Trump's inauguration and could have easily stayed in a 5 star hotel and attended the protest the next day...where was she?

People from all over the country spent big bucks and travelled thousands of miles to get there, but not Hillary. I would have thought she would do everything in her power to attend, but no!

I forgot, the election is over. Stronger Together doesn't mean anything anymore. I guess she had Madonna stand in for her. She just insulted a whole bunch of people!

By not attending we can now assume she won't be running in 2020. Someone had asked what Trump will be doing 5 years from now. Well duh, he will be in his first year of his second term as POTUS.

Anybody know why Hillary didn't show up?

    2. Doubtful Hillary will have the gumption to make another White House run. She was burned out after her Secretary of State tenure, and she had health and stamina issues during the recent campaign.

It is likely that Trump's act will flame out before 2020. He may have caught the fancy of some independents, disgruntled Democrats, and "traditionalists." His campaign staff did some great work, and many noteworthy Republicans stayed true to the party by supporting their controversial nominee. But the right is going to need a new captain after Trump and Company fully realize that Donald is in over his head. The bullshit cliches, double talk, media blaming, and false bravado are only going to take him so far. And there is a remarkable number of people throughout the world who simply despise the man; a problem that is probably not going to improve.

    3. uh...duh... why would she...? She understands politics and timing. Timing is everything.Read her tweet, "we are stronger when we work together". It says it all. Many of these berniebot "feminists" deserve the whirlwind.
Three things kept Hillary from her deserved victory. First the orange vulgarian's enlisting the russkies to hack his opponent in an American election(treason), Second was the Comey debacle urged by Giuliani, and thirdly all the politically unsophisticated women berniebots who wounded Hillary early and often with the encouragement of their candidate as a "corporate whore". That was fake news which they swallowed whole. Remember Trump's campaign slogan, very smart, "Corrupt Hillary". As for the Great march, colorful, great signs, but a month late and the proverbial dollar short. History will show that American women did not choose to take their golden opportunity. PInk pussy hats are cute, but republican strategists are laughing at the timing.

Hillary "did" Tweet a message of Encouragement to the Marchers though...Btw, Hillary & Bill OWN a Home in D.C.

She has been going on most (or maybe all) of the top political programs in the last year or so, displaying an uncanny ability to calmly and articulately sell/excuse that insufferable boor. I agree with the Trump camp when they called her their MVP.

Good question! I doubt it. It is a high stress undertaking. Spicer is already way too wound up. ConArtist, who supposedly declined an official administration position because of her desire to have more personal time, will likely fry out and push away from the limelight.

  10. The fact that El Trumpo won doesn't mean half the country likes him. First of all, he didn't quite win by half, and second of all, that admittedly still-sizable minority didn't so much approve of Trump as DISapprove--with excellent reason--of Shillary. But that's hardly a mandate for Herr Donald.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Trump has a 38% approval rating. You don't know what you're talking about. Buyer's remorse will only get worse. There are countless politicians who had big stages for a while who have since fallen to pieces like that fat idiot Chris Christie. Trump will be no different.

If you think he's "playing" the media then you're not paying attention. He's merely forcing his employees to defend him because he's thin-skinned.

This will end before 4 years are up. Write it down.

He added the VIP's cheered nothing Trump said, but were dressed like it was a royal anointment. He repeated that about Trumps appearance at the balls. When he left Trump waved and ducked out. 1. An idiot calling someone else an idiot, always cracks me up! It was suppose to be a total slam dunk, no questions asked, it's in the bank, no problem. Hillary was going to be the President, zero reason to think otherwise. She lost because "idiots" ran her campaign. Her staff "just knew" it was a slam dunk, so lets sit back and enjoy the ride.

I am more than impressed with Kellyanne Conway. She stepped right in between all these rich and powerful men, took control and won the election. America loves winners, not losers. Hillary got beat, not by Trump, but by Kellyanne....a woman!! First woman to run a presidential campaign and she won!!

  16. No one knows how this friction between the White House and the White House press corps will, ultimately, play out.

However, I think that President Trump should consider the possibility that a press corps that is "deprived" of it's daily assignments, and business-as-usual, might turn it's attention to other pursuits ... like delving into investigative reporting.

Mr. Trump might remember Woodward and Bernstein. And, I doubt that his full business background is so squeaky clean that it can withstand in-depth scrutiny.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why is the media falling for this so easily?

Don't bother. This is not where anyone should plant their flag. Right now, Trump's team is making everyone look stupid. They get asked real questions and the Trump team bullsh*ts the way Putin bullsh*ts. It goes nowhere. And the more the media chase stupid stuff, the more Trump will say "the media is biased so we are changing all the rules".

He's more savvy than they will ever give him credit for. He's exposing them.

They should do their homework, come up with evidence of laws broken and then show investigative skills, integrity and professionalism. Take that stuff, make a huge deal out of it, share it with other outlets and drum up noise to get the other GOP party in DC to pay attention. They might. Probably not, but they might.

    2. Mainstream media can't and won't ever do investigative reporting. Go to Greg Palast to read and see what should be the stories our media should be covering. There are a few people out there who want to explore and expose the truth, but, alas, we're all pawns for the mass media who do control what we see and hear.

    3. Greg Palast is interesting at times, but the idea that only Greg Palast has a handle on "truth" is moronic. A smart person reads everything and knows that only occasionally is the "truth" revealed.
