Image result for comcast sportsnet bay area SHAKEDOWN at CSNBA...

As a certain President-Elect would say, it's yuge...

I'm hearing mucho layoffs ...maybe more.

Developing...

UPDATE -3: 49 PM PT: Lots of Production people were given pink slips ...plus some on-air people. (I don't know just yet, who, but when I do I will let you know)

I contacted CSNBA for comment and got this out of Jay De La Cruz, who did confirm my earlier post and added this statement:

We are currently reformatting our programming lineup in order to better serve the CSN Bay Area and CSN California fanbase. A new slate of offerings will be introduced in the near future designed to provide our fans with compelling sports content, in and out of the home and on any device.”

  1. It is happening at ALL Comcast regional SportsNet ops, cuts are deep. And just in time for the holidays!

  2. Larry Baer would never allow Amy G. to be fired by Comcast. She gives his team lots of PR during the game broadcasts. It may have nothing to do with the game, but it promotes all of the wonderful work Baer is doing in the community. What a mensch!

  5. It's a local-focused sports network that has to fill up primetime programming all year long. I'll take what they are giving us - it's basically visual local sports radio (without the 40 minutes of commercials every hour). What more could you expect?

  6. If I never see Stan on here again it will be a day too soon.

I decided on a whim to check out his blog and read his posts. Every other post is white man this, white's that. Dumb whites, rich whites. Good fucking Lord. What a racist little bitch.

    1. I saw Ros last game I thought? The blowout over Dallas? I've always wondered if she secretly wanted Steph :)

  8. I've always wonder how they were paying all these sports experts with limited resources. It costs to put on Central show. Now the axe will fall!

  9. "in order to better serve the CSN Bay Area and CSN California fanbase." Bullshit. It's to keep the profit margins up. They don't give a damn about their viewers, other than to make certain they have some to advertise to.

  10. Where is Larry Baer in all of this?
Isn't he the one who runs that cable outlet?
    So much for his influence.

  11. How lame is CSN? They produce an hour documentary on Jerry Rice that has not a single inch of film or video of Rice in action. Imagine. Now, do one on Marciano, being sure not to show him throwing a single punch.
