A Million Reasons Why KGO-TV Loves Warriors-Cavs NBA Finals

KGO-TV stands to make a cool million bucks or so from the hospital HMO sponsor (if Warriors-Cavs goes seven games that could be significantly more)

That'll buy a lot of Circle7 pins.

  1. Here's the funny thing. Channel 7 stands to make a ton of money from the NBA finals because they can sell local ad spots. Channel 5 went all nuts over having the Superbowl in the Bay Area but at the end of the day, it was the CBS network cashing in on the day of the game. Channel 5 might have made some extra cash with more people watching their news that week, but I have no idea what the ratings were. 7 on the other hand will pocket money and quite a bit the longer the series goes. Same goes for channel 11. Those Sharks games mean money for channel 11 if they show them.

  2. The Million Reasons "Why" is because KGO is a Disney station...which explains the Why ? Because We Love You.
