Remember when every host on KGO whined about the time Mrs Luckoff got hit by a bike messenger when she was crossing the street? Same thing here. Everybody's going to whine again about this. A couple of Tarda if you ask me.
They should just send drones to shoot the scenes they want to report on and then greenscreen the reporters in the studio. (Actually, there are a few instances of stations being called out on this!)
As a Fremont resident, I know that intersection well. Although they don't know the area, it was a bad decision to air from there. You can tell that both drivers were rubbernecking to see what was going on. A much safer place for everyone would've been across Mission Blvd on a pullout just across the street from Hwy 84. Of course, the crew would've been farther away from 7-11 coffee and donuts, so there's that.
I saw it live. You could hear him say "Oh shit!" followed by a crash. Poor Gasia's boobs were heaving she was so upset. Luckily he was okay.
