To All My Readers --Happy Holidays 2015

This is but a mere token of appreciation for all of you; even those that aren't necessarily enthralled with me or this site; God knows there's plenty of you out there in that club; in any event, here's hoping 2016 is healthy, happy, and fruitful for all of you.

Enjoy your family and friends. Have a great Christmas and New Years. God Bless you all.

Looking forward to 2016 and hopefully MZ gets his head out of his rear end and brings you back to KSCO. That would be a wonderful Hanukkah present. Cheers to you babe!

  5. Thanks Rich, I too appreciate your blog! If nothing else, I want to check out how the other dudes in the Bay Area rate the news babes. I am a big follower of the national ones!

  7. Love this, the most entertaining "fact-filled" media site on the Internet. May 2016 be filled with dirt.

  10. Takes a lot of courage to do what you do and to have to scramble for $$$ to keep it viable. There's a lot of garbage in the Bay Area media market. It's no different anywhere else, except that you write about what's HERE.

Keep up the vigilance. Someone needs to watch the idiots who run the candy store. They shouldn't be left to their own devices. Sadly however, people are getting snow jobbed by the messengers. If they only knew, if they only knew.

    1. It takes having nothing to lose, and since he has nothing he's able to do it. He's certainly not doing it with class.

  12. Great coverage on KRON today of the emergency plane landing...George Rask was excellent...had to use the mute button when Daria spoke;thought she was going to have a heart attack...I love the immediacy of television.... when it is good it is very, very good

  13. Merry Christmas to Rich. But we also need to thank the cast of characters who make this blog so fun to read. They make stupid decisions, destroy their businesses, alienate their employees and lower the quality of the broadcast/newspaper.

So I make a toast to Rich's characters: Audrey "I'm a real journalist but I can't write" Cooper; Jack "I'm fixing something that ain't broke" Swanson; Trixie "Ms. Warmth" Watkowski; Gary "I should have retired 20 years ago" Fatnich; Bruno Cohen; Lee "I look brilliant when the Giants win" Hammer; Gregg "company man" Kelley; Michael "I'm phoning it in" Savage; Aron Pero and his sidekick Darya; Ronnnnnn "I should have retired a long time ago, too" Owens; Mike "I'm a total idiot" McVay"; Rusty "cut and paste" Simmons; VDLC "Game On!", and so on.

  14. Wishing you the best! Love the 415 Blog, no commercials. Thanks for the "insight" to the News business, it's a war zone out there. You should get notified by the FCC that I have nominated you for best Bay Area News blog of the year. Keep up the good work!! Happy Holidays.

  15. "...even those that aren't necessarily enthralled with me or this site; God knows there's plenty of you out there in that club...."

You know your audience, Rich. Sometimes it's "yes!" Often, it's "you cannot, conceivably, be serious!"

In (the old) KGO Radio, that was our stock-in-trade ... exchanging varying points of view. On the whole, I think it's a healthy perspective.

    Happy '16, everyone!
