ReplyDeleteI used to work with Palombo at KRON and all I can say is *everyone*--editors, anchors, other reporters, writers--hated to deal with him. He's a prima donna who thinks his turds should hang in the Louvre. We were happy when he left.

Fox (cable) number one in the ratings for 13 years in a row. How do they do it? They have an entire squadron of hot, sexy, beautiful and intelligent women. There isn't any "grandma" dress code at Fox cable. They let their women be who they are, beautiful women who are displayed properly.

Steve Paulson is one of the last links to "The Perfect 36" now that Carol Doda has gone. I have no idea what became of Jan Hutchins. Palombo would make a cup of coffee nervous. In the Salinas-Monterey market we have an anchor (KSBW), Dan Green, who insists not only on thanking reporters after their shot, but adding "...appreciate it."

Thanks for posting. Glad to see it isn't only Bay Area viewers who dislike Palombo's persona. There's something about the guy that rubs people the wrong way. It's like a combination of creepiness, smugness and phoniness...did he really win 14 Emmy's? It must not be hard to get those awards.
